With a capacity for approximately 800, the Dining Hall is the venue for day-to-day dining and for regular formal dinners.

The Tuck Shop – referred to as ‘The Rotunda’ provides snacks and other light refreshments to everyone on campus. All installations are set to be of international hygienic standard with state of the art equipment.

The individual daily menus will include continental and traditional dishes. Meals are carefully planned by expert dieticians to provide a balanced diet.

Library
The Library is the heart of any learning institution.

At Preston, the school library provides excellent support for academic and co-curricular activities with books, CD-ROMS, DVDs, research computers and internet access, that cover a wide spectrum of subjects to satisfy the urge to learn and curiosity that is so natural to the child.

The library constantly acquires new titles to stay up-to-date with the latest in the world and also subscribes to various periodicals and journals.

Ict Suite
We have four networked ICT Rooms with Internet access. These are exciting places for the children to learn the latest software applications and programming languages. A dedicated Microwave Radio Internet connection and network provides 24/7 Internet access to surf the websites for educational materials. Computer sessions and Internet access are monitored and supervised by computer experts who aid and guide the children through the sessions.

Laboratory
There are various laboratories for Biology, Physics and Chemistry for the senior secondary curriculum. However, there is an Integrated Science laboratory for the junior secondary school. The laboratory is modern and well-equipped with requisite, essential and desirable equipment for conducting practical experiments for the integrated science course at the junior secondary school level as per the requirements of the JSS curriculum.Lab2

The science labs provide an array of instruments and other equipment for children to try out practical experiments and learn new things. There are also lots of visual teaching aids and models some of which can be dismantled and re-assembled again. All these are geared towards delivering enthusing and interesting lessons during which our pupils learning is accelerated.

Medical Care
The school has a well-equipped sick bay where pupils are looked after by competent, qualified health practitioners.

There are residential full time qualified nurses employed to be available 24/7 should any child fall sick unexpectedly. Also, the school is afilliated to one of the best hospitals in town where students receive the best possible medical care by qualified doctors.

Referrals to Hospitals are made whenever required.

Boarding
Hostels are purpose-built for comfort and efficiency. A healthy rural environment with lots of fresh air yet close to the city of Akure.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls with adequate conveniences (showers, toilets and laundry areas), common rooms with adjoining flats for staff members.

There are four houses at Preston - Aqua, Shekinah, Terra and Tornado. Every pupil belongs to a house. The house system at Preston is set up to engender and foster a closely knit, vibrant and caring community. As part of the positive assertive disciplinary policy at Preston, every pupil wins or loses house-points which are totted up at the end of the week. At the end of each term, the house with the highest number of points has a party!

Safety & Security
Our carefully appointed teachers, house parents and well-equipped security staffs are set to work together to ensure that a safe and secure school is ours. The school campus has CCTV surveillance of all entrances and exits, fire extinguishers and a range of security equipment.
